The Last OMOS post…

Good morning, OMOS family,

If you have any of the library books from my classroom still in your possession, could you please drop them off at school?  I am missing quite a few…

I will be at school on Tuesday, May 28th, if you want to stop by.  I’d love to see you!

This will be the last post you will receive from the Rella Round Up.  Enjoy your summer break!

Until we meet again…

Dear students and parents of OMOS,

It is with a heavy heart that I am making the announcement that after this year,  I will not return to OMOS.

It has been an honor and a privilege to teach you this year; I know we have all learned a lot and grown through our experiences.

Thank you for everything!

Please feel free to keep in touch!  I would love to hear from each of you to know how you are doing!

Congratulations!

Over the past few months, 8th-grade students have researched, written, and presented a 5 – 7-minute speech on a patriotic topic of their choice.  The top 6 presenters will be participating in an Oratorical Contest this upcoming Monday.  The contest is judged by members from the local Toastmasters International chapter,  which is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to public speaking and leadership skills worldwide.

Please congratulate the following 8th graders on being selected to enter the contest:

  • Nick CB

  • Meghan M

  • Kaedo L

  • Eva D

  • Nathan W

  • Malia M

Our alternate speaker is Konrad K. – who will present in the event that another speaker is unable to perform.

Winners of the contest will be announced next week.  Cash prizes will be awarded by the end of next week to the top 3 winners.
