Two weeks and counting…
Monday morning six 8th grade students will present their oratory speeches to the Toastmaster judges. Wish them luck!
The entire 8th grade presented a 5-7 minute speech this past week – I’m so impressed and proud of all of you!
Also, 51 of our 86 junior high students were selected to be published poets! Woohoo… way to go! If you need your code to give permission to publish, please email me.
What’s left in the school year for grades:
Vocabulary
- unit 1 – 15 vocabulary final on Tuesday – May 14 (100 points)
Literature
- blackout poem (25 points) May 15
- poetry notes (130 points) May 13
- poetry test (100 points) May 16
Study Skills
- participation in baking class (10 points) May 17
This is the last of the #adulting classes. It’s been fun. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to make this happen!
